Autocraft Telford's £250,000 Plunge into Solar Energy

Autocraft Telford are proud to announce that we have taken a momentous step towards environmental sustainability, with a massive £250,000 investment into solar energy.

The installation of a 215kW solar power system atop the roof of Autocraft's 26,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art repair HQ in Hortonwood, Shropshire marks a significant milestone in our journey towards a greener future.

The solar system, installed by IDES consists of 470 solar panels, and will not only create electricity to supply our operations, but will also be sold to partnering organisations such as the NHS and local council. Whilst this isn't our only step towards environmental change, it is our biggest yet, reducing the carbon footprint of our business by 25% in one act. This is the equivalent to planting 3,500 trees and the avoided equivalent of 57,000 litres of fuel/diesel or 6,400 tonnes of coal burnt.
