Our Commitment to Carbon Neutral

PAS2060 ACCREDITED

Our Commitment to Carbon Neutral

Autocraft Telford became the first Accident repair centre in Shropshire to achieve Carbon Neutral status, awarded with the PAS 2060 Carbon Neutrality certification following an extensive assessment of its operations. To achieve this status we decreased our fuel usage and wastage, started planting trees and switched, where possible, to motion sensor LED Lighting.

To maintain our Carbon Neutral status we agreed to achieve 2% reduction in carbon usage each year, any new product, energy supply, vehicle or process must be assessed before being implemented to ensure it will help achieve that goal.

Darren said of the certification: “This acknowledgement of the steps we are taking to reduce our carbon expenditure is testament to the hard work of our team to provide a greener operation. We know this is important to our customers, and it’s important to us too as we care passionately about protecting the environment. The fact that our expenditure is offset against a renewable project taking place what could be thousands of miles away makes us feel like we are having an impact on a global level as well as locally, which is especially important to us”.

Sponsorship of the Telford Tigers

Autocraft first began their sponsorship with the Telford Tigers under the management of Bob Fielding back in the 1990's. Today Autocraft is proud to have a long standing relationship that goes back over 4 decades. In 2017 particularly, Autocraft played an instrumental part in the club’s success.

Tigers’ General Manager and Head Coach Tom Watkins said, “Telford Tigers and Autocraft have had a long standing relationship that goes back many years and we are delighted to continue that association heading into the 2022/23 season. We are very fortunate to benefit from the passion and commitment of Darren and Matt Fielding who are long time Tigers fans, and their support over the years has been instrumental in giving the club an opportunity to progress to the level we have reached.”
