Autocraft is an independent, manufacturer approved bodyshop group based Shropshire. With over 40 years of experience, we now have 2 dedicated accident repair centres in Telford and Shrewsbury, and have earned a great reputation in the local area for the high quality of repair work and first class customer service we provide.
We work alongside the UK’s leading manufacturers, insurers, fleet companies, as well as private vehicle owners, and catering for all major and minor damage on all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles.

Our Story
Where it all started
In 1981, brothers Robert and Colin Fielding founded Autocraft with £3,000 in a 2000sq ft unit in St Georges, Telford. The first vehicles to come through the Autocraft doors were a Triumph Dolomite and an Austin Marina van.
In the early 1990's, Robert’s sons Darren and Matthew joined Autocraft - with Darren working in paint and Matthew on reception.
New beginnings
After several years of hard work and commitment, Darren and Matthew took over Autocraft in 2004.
They continuing to work at the St Georges bodyshop site for another 7 years before expanding into a new state of the art repair facility in Hortonwood, where they still operate form today.
Expansion
5 years later, in 2016, Darren and Matthew decided it was time to expand further, and opened Autocraft Express Shrewsbury. Our site in Shrewsbury specialises in minor vehicle repairs offering convenience for the local population in Shrewsbury.
In 2022, Autocraft Shrewsbury had a refurbishment, improving facilities and technology - ensuring we are repairing vehicles to the highest of standards.
The Future
The modern Autocraft Telford is now the premier accident repair facility in Shropshire and the business continues to strengthen its position in the UK Accident Repair Industry with continuous investments and over 20 manufacturer approvals.
Autocraft Telford also became the first Accident repair centre in Shropshire to achieve Carbon Neutral status and have taken a momentous step towards environmental sustainability with a massive £250,000 investment into solar energy.
